When a product requires a guest to choose a specific number of modifiers, you can use Modifier Groups to ensure the correct number of modifiers are chosen during an order.
For our example Pizza we will allow the guest to choose up to 3 toppings only by creating 3 separate Single Select modifier groups. Each modifier group will contain the same 5 topping choices. This example assumes you already have modifier items created and available on your venue.
Create your Modifier Groups
- On the Admin site, click on the “Locations & Menus” link on the sidebar to the left
- Click the “Modifier Groups” link
- Create the first modifier group titled: “Pizza Topping - Choice #1”
- Click on Add a Modifier Group button
- Give your modifier a name
- Choose the Single Select option
- Use the search bar to search for and find 5 modifiers that guests will be able to order on their pizza
- When finished, click the green “Save Modifier Group” button
- Repeat steps a through e to create “Pizza Topping - Choice #2” and “Pizza Topping - Choice #3”.
- Make sure each groups contain the same 5 modifiers as topping choices
