Yellow Dog Integration Setup
In order for Yellow Dog to pull sales info from Tapin2 and import into their systems the following venue information is required:
Venue ID
Venue API Key
External Ref ID (Product SKU mapping)
Venue ID
Your Venue ID is the three-digit or four-digit number found at the end of your venue's app URL
Example:
For the URL mobile.tapin2.co/123, the Venue ID is 123
For the URL suite.tapin2.co/1234, the Venue ID is 1234
API Key
The API Key is located on the Venue Settings page in the Tapin2 Admin Portal. Access to this page requires Super Admin permissions, which means that they can only be provided by Tapin2 employees.
External Ref ID
The externalRefId field is a unique identifier in Tapin2 that links each product to its corresponding SKU in Yellow Dog. This mapping ensures that sales data from Tapin2 is correctly matched to the right menu items in Yellow Dogs' system. Without this field populated, Yellow Dog will be unable to associate sales with the correct products.
Configure the SKU Number when Uploading Products
Products in Tapin2 can be created in two ways:
- Manually, one product at a time
- In bulk, by uploading multiple products using our product template Excel sheet
Regardless of the method you choose, ensure the product's SKU number is entered into the Tapin2 externalRefId field. This step is essential for the product to be created successfully.
