Click the Locations tab to open the Locations Dashboard. From here you can Search for Locations by Name, Filter Active & Inactive Locations, Edit or Delete existing Locations, access Location Menus, manage Inventory, Assign Sections and Users to Locations, and POS Sync Functions
- Add a New Location – To add a new location please reach out to the Tapin Support team.
- Edit Location – You can edit a location by clicking the Edit Location button which will take you to the Location Settings Page
- Location Settings
- Location Name – Name of Location, Concession Stand, Service Area, etc…
- Section - What Section does the Location belong too?
- Service Type - General Concessions, Premium, Hawker or Other.
- Active (Slider) – Makes a location Active or Inactive. When a location is inactive its menu is not visible to customers. Inactive products are not shown in the Locations Dashboard, only Active locations are shown by default. To view inactive Locations use the Active/Inactive Filter Drop Dowd
- Description – Typically used to denote what App(s) the Location uses or any notable irregularities specific to the Location
- Location Custom Message - Use F_LOCATION_CUSTOM to add this message to your message templates.
- Pick up (Checkbox) – These provide printing options for the Kiosk.
- Misc. Options - miscellaneous options
- Delivery (Slider) - To enable Delivery
- Hawker (Slider) – When this is checked it allows workers in Vending/Hawking to select the specific products they are selling from a list and save them so that those are the only items they see on their menu screen.
- Preorder (Slider) – Check this box to enable customers to place orders either for pickup or delivery prior to the event start time. This is predominantly used for Suites Catering and Convention Centers.
- Support Contact - This is who the customer would reach out to for help on-site.
- Kiosk Image URL and Preview - URL for Image for Kiosk to display.
- Mobile Image URL and Preview - URL for Image to display on mobile.
- Location Menu
- Click on MENU in line with the location you want to view the menu for
- From the Location Menu, you can
- Add a Product – Add an Individual Product to the Location Menu by typing in the product name in the “Add a Product…” search bar and selecting it from the drop-down list
- Add Several Products from List – This allows you to add additional items to the Menu from the Venue Product list.
- Download Products – Downloads list of Products in Location in Formatted Excel file
- Search Products – Type the name of the partial name of the item you are searching for in the search bar that says “Search for a Menu Item…”
- Turn Items On and Off – Turning an item off removes it from the Menu
- Product Sort Order – Edit the Order in which items appear in the app. You can change the position of the items within its menu category by changing the Sort Number to the position you want and pressing enter.
- Change the Fulfillment Group – When splitting items by fulfillment device this dictates which group the item belongs to which in turn is assigned to a printer. Click the drop-down and select the fulfillment group.
- Price - Current Price of the item for the location.
- Alc - Is the product Alcohol?
- Img - Does the Product have an Image assigned to it.
- Public - Is this a public-facing product.
- Mods – Displays the current number of Modifiers, click to view the Modifiers
- Remove Items from Location Menu – Click X to remove the item.
- Location - Sections – Assign what sections you want the Location to service. Typically used with apps that feature delivery service. Click on the SECTIONS button to open the Select Sections page. From here you can assign or unassign sections to locations highlighting the desired section(s) and click the arrow pointing right to Add or the arrow pointing left to remove.
- Location Inventory – Click the INVENTORY button to open the Inventory page for that location. From the Inventory page, you can assign UPCs of products for barcode scanning (used with Kiosk). You can also assign a Quantity limit to each item. As the item is ordered the Quantity Count will deplete. Upon reaching zero the item will no longer be available.
*If you do not want to limit the inventory for some items put 999999 in place for the Quantity
*To disable the Inventory feature go to Venue Settings and uncheck the Track Inventory button.
- Delete Location – Click the trash can icon and confirm to delete a location
