What are the Whitelisting Network Requirements for EloView 4 (EV4)?

This article outlines the required network settings for EloView 4 devices to operate in the production environment. Please ensure the following domains, URLs, ports, and services are accessible.

Note: EloView uses 2.android.pool.ntp.org for NTP traffic. Full access to port 123 (UDP) is required.

Cloudflare CDN

EloView services rely on Cloudflare’s global content delivery network (CDN).

Recommendation: Always whitelist by domain name (e.g., the EloView domains listed above).
Why: Cloudflare IP addresses are dynamic and subject to change. IP whitelisting can cause unexpected service interruptions if ranges are updated.
Reference only: If your firewall requires explicit IPs, the following are currently in use:

Required Ports & Protocols

443 (HTTPS): General EloView communication
8883 (MQTT over TLS): Secure device-to-cloud communication
123 (UDP – NTP): Time synchronization

Note: EloView-enabled Android devices use WebSocket connections. Communication is always device-initiated.
