When creating an event in the admin console, a message pops up saying "Event Date overlaps with the following events" or "This event's pre-event-ordering overlaps with the following event".
Tapin2 does not allow concurrent events and will show these messages to prevent any overlap.
Preorder overlap:
Event overlap:
If an event date/time is adjusted causing an overlap, the admin console will show a warning to notify the user that the changes overlap with another event. The date/time of one of these events will need to be adjusted to avoid any conflicts:
Resolution
- When seeing these messages in admin, users will need to adjust the start or end time of the event or preordering. More info on editing events can be found here: Create or Edit Events
- Test events do not show up in the event list by default. Checking the "Show Test Events" checkbox will unhide them. Test event start dates and times cannot overlap test or non-test events.
- Event dates and times take the Event Start Adjustment into consideration. This setting can be found by going to Venue Settings > Venue Settings. This setting dictates when ordering can begin for an event. If the number is set too high, sequential events will need to be adjusted accordingly. Alternatively, the Event Start Adjustment can be lowered.
If you are still unable to identify why the event cannot be created, please reach out to support with the following information so we can investigate:
- Start Date
- Start Time
- Event Type
- End Date
- End Time
- Include in Reports (not a Demo/Test)
- Image URL (if one is used)
