How to configure preorder options and hours
This guide will go over important pre-order options and hours configurations. There are more options, most will have a note to the right explaining what they do.
To access the options go to Application Settings - Options - Preorder
Require Agree to Terms:
- This setting allows you to add legal verbiage that establishes the terms of use for the guest. The verbiage can be edited in “content” from “Application Settings”. While closing out a preorder sale, a pop-up will appear with the wording added that the customer must approve to move forward and place their order.
Require User Accounts:
- This creates the requirement for the guest to create an account that is used to store a token of a credit card for the User account (Must be enabled for preorders). In addition, it allows guests to view past orders.
Authorization Amount:
- This lets you set the dollar amount or percentage to authorize on the first order in a tab. Once the tab is closed, the full amount is collected for all orders within the tab.
Preorder Distribution Receipt:
- The emails listed will receive an order receipt once a preorder is placed. This is intended for internal staff to view preorders as they are placed.
Single Orders Only:
- On the Premium/Kiosk Mobile Options, the ability to create tabs is removed. This is helpful for large audiences, i.e., seating for more than 150, as each tab will need to be closed at the end of the night. With larger sections, it is recommended that you use single orders only
Hours Before & After Preorder Begins/Ends:
- This is to set your preorder ordering window. You must set day/hour parameters to turn on preordering and cut off preordering.
Preorder Deadlines:
- There are usually preorder deadlines as properties often have a “Preorder Menu” and a “Day of Event” ordering options that turn on and off at different times
- “Application Settings”> “Options” > “Preorder “and scroll down to the table of preordering cut off.
- This table of dates and times will establish when ALL of the preordering cut-off is enabled for the entire venue. You must set times to turn preordering on and off.
Preorder Option Overrides: (This is where you control individual menu/location settings to turn on and off separately)
- “Locations & Menus” > “Locations” > “Options” > “Preorder” > toggle “Enable override of Options.” This is where you set the timing for individual locations to turn on and cut off ordering
- Although this is not in the “Application Settings” tab, it is important to know where to set each start/stop window. The location options override the venue-level settings and allow you to manage each location separately.
